Education & Student Readiness
We prepare students and graduates from low-income families in Alexandria for work and study through our «Ready» program, tutoring, and adult literacy classes. We have trained 180+ students and graduates across 4 cohorts since 2018.
Education and readiness that open doors to work
Since 2018, this pathway has been closing the gap between school and the job market for young people from low-income families across Al Attarin, Karmouz, Al Manshiya, Al Ameriya, and Borg El Arab. Through our «Ready» program we have trained 180+ students and graduates in 4 cohorts on CV writing, job interviews, practical English, and freelancing skills, and connected a number of them to jobs and field training.
Alongside «Ready», we run regular tutoring for school-age students at our center and adult literacy classes that help parents read, write, and follow their children's schooling. The work is concrete and hands-on: steady attendance, one-on-one follow-up, and results we measure cohort after cohort.
Who this program serves
Students and graduates from low-income families across Alexandria's five neighborhoods who want to strengthen their learning and prepare for the job market.
Problem addressed
Many young people from low-income families in Alexandria leave school early or graduate without the skills the job market asks for, so opportunities are lost despite real motivation and ability.
